Frequently asked questions
What makes the Durasorb facing useful in acoustic applications?
The black Durasorb polyester non-woven fabric is a porous, sound-absorbing material. When the panel is installed behind a perforated or open ceiling or wall lining, the facing remains visible while contributing to sound absorption in the space.
Which thickness should I choose for a commercial ceiling application?
Three thicknesses are available: 50 mm (R1.5), 75 mm (R2.2), and 100 mm (R3.0). Higher R-values provide greater thermal resistance; the correct choice depends on the thermal requirements of the roof or wall system being designed.
Is this product suitable for internal residential use?
Pink Noisestop with Durasorb facing is designed for commercial applications, including offices, schools, hospitals, and entertainment venues. Its panel format and Durasorb facing are best suited to those environments rather than standard residential stud-wall installation.
