Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the delivery of products purchased from AKA Acoustics Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order, you (“you,” “your,” or “Client”) acknowledge and accept these shipping terms.

1. Freight & Delivery Responsibility

  • Shipping and freight are determined by the manufacturer, master distributor, or supplier (“Shipping Provider”) and are subject to their terms and conditions.
  • We do not control shipping costs, methods, carriers, or delivery timelines set by the Shipping Provider.
  • All risk of loss or damage passes to you once the order has been handed over to the Shipping Provider.
  • Once a shipment is in transit, any claims regarding shipping delays, damages, or lost items must be directed to the Shipping Provider.

2. Shipping Costs & Payment

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout or provided as a separate invoice or quotation, depending on the Shipping Provider's policies.
  • Any additional customs fees, duties, taxes, or import charges are your responsibility and must be paid upon receipt in your country.
  • All shipping fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3. Delivery Terms & Unloading Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for unloading, handling, and storing the delivered items upon arrival.
  • Delivery is will require a forklift to unload (supplied by the client), unless otherwise arranged in writing. Additional services such as inside delivery, lift-gate service, or installation may be available at an extra charge.
  • We are not responsible for any damage or loss occurring after delivery, including due to improper unloading, mishandling, or storage at your site.

4. Shipping Timelines & Delays

  • Estimated delivery dates are provided by the Shipping Provider and are subject to change based on carrier availability, customs processing, and unforeseen delays.
  • We are not liable for any shipping delays, including but not limited to delays caused by the carrier, customs, weather, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Delays do not entitle you to cancel an order, refuse delivery, or claim compensation.

5. Damaged, Lost, or Incorrect Shipments

  • Damaged Shipments: If your order arrives damaged, you must report it to the Shipping Provider immediately and document the damage with photos.
  • Lost Shipments: If your order is lost in transit, you must file a claim with the Shipping Provider.
  • Incorrect Shipments: If you receive the wrong product, notify us within 48 hours of receipt. We will coordinate with the Shipping Provider and manufacturer to determine resolution options.
  • All claims for damaged, lost, or incorrect shipments must be made within the Shipping Provider's claim window.

6. Changes to Shipping Information

  • It is your responsibility to provide accurate shipping details at the time of order.
  • Changes to shipping addresses after an order has been placed may result in additional charges or delays.
  • We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information.

7. International Shipping

  • For international orders, you are responsible for all import duties, customs fees, and taxes required by your country.
  • Customs processing times vary and may delay delivery. We are not responsible for customs-related delays.
  • If customs clearance is refused, you will not be entitled to a refund for shipping fees or any additional costs incurred.

8. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for shipping failures or delays due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
    • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or pandemics
    • Government restrictions, customs holds, or regulatory changes
    • Strikes, labor shortages, or carrier disruptions
