Applications
Installed in external and internal stud walls in houses, townhouses, apartments, schools, universities, and aged care facilities. The HD (high-density) formulation is particularly suited to walls where 70 or 75 mm cavity depth prevents use of a standard 90 mm R2.0 batt, and where additional acoustic attenuation between rooms or from external noise is a priority. Compatible with timber and steel stud framing.

Holds CodeMark Certificate of Conformity CM 30006. The glasswool carries FBS-1 Bio-Soluble Insulation classification. Non-combustible, low-allergen formulation.

What does HD mean in the product name?
HD stands for high density. The increased density allows the batt to achieve an R2.0 thermal rating at 70 mm thickness rather than the 90 mm required by a standard R2.0 batt, making it suitable for shallower wall cavities.
Can this batt be used in both timber and steel stud walls?
Yes. Pink Batts are stiffened to fit snugly between standard stud spacings in both timber and steel framing without sagging.
What width should I order?
Four widths are available: 430 mm and 580 mm for standard stud spacings, and 450 mm and 600 mm for metric stud spacings. Select the width that matches your wall frame spacing.
