Pink Batts ® R2.5 Ceiling insulation is just one of numerous insulation products manufactured by Fletcher Insulation in Australia for well over 50 years, and are easily recognised by their bright pink packaging. The insulation R-Value (also common known as R-rating) is a measurement of the insulation materials effectiveness and reducing the transfer of heat and cold – for example between the roof space and the living areas below in the house. Insulation can also be installed between floors, however if the purpose is to reduce sound transfer between the upper and lower levels of the house, then we recommend you consider installing acoustic insulation, which is more dense, and is specifically designed to hinder the transfer of unwanted airborne sound between rooms and floors.
