R3.0 Bradford Gold Thermal Ceiling Insulation
CSR Bradford’s Gold Ceiling Insulation is made from glasswool, and contains millions of air pockets, which resist the flow of air or radiation through the insulation. Unlike other forms of heating and cooling control, ceiling insulation requires no maintenance or replacement.
An R-Value of R3.0 is often used in moderate climates, and is quite effective in reducing the heat and cold transfer throughout the year. The R3.0 is thick enough to enable it to be installed before plaster, providing the timber ceiling joists are spaced at the standard 600mm or 450mm centres. If there will be a delay of more than a day or two between installing the insulation and the plaster, consider fixing straps underneath the ceiling joists to hold the insulation securely in place. CSR Bradford is the only insulation partner of the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice program. It is particularly suited for use in the homes of allergy and asthma sufferers.
