Applications
Installed in ceiling cavities of residential and commercial buildings to reduce heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. Suitable for new construction and retrofit applications. Fits standard 450 mm and 600 mm joist centres without modification. Not suitable for use as an exposed internal lining or where a Group Number is required under NCC.

Complies with NCC 2022 Volume 1 J4D3(1) and ABCB Housing Provisions Standard 2022 13.2.2(1) for thermal performance. Tested to AS/NZS 4859.1. Non-combustible per AS 1530.1. Is Bradford Gold R3.0 suitable for retrofit ceiling installations?
Yes. The 165 mm batt is compatible with 450 mm and 600 mm joist centres and can be installed in existing roof spaces. For delays between insulation and lining installation, straps beneath the joists can hold batts in place.
Is this product non-combustible?
Yes. Bradford Gold glasswool is non-combustible when assessed to AS 1530.1, and achieves a Spread of Flame index of 0 and Smoke Developed index of 1 per AS/NZS 1530.3.
What joist spacings does the R3.0 batt suit?
The batt is available in 430 mm and 580 mm widths, designed to suit standard 450 mm and 600 mm joist centres respectively.
