Thermotec Rockwool Pipe Insulation
Thermotec Rockwool Pipe Insulation is a heavy-duty foil-faced, pre-formed mineral wool pipe lagging from Thermotec. With a nominal density of 115 to 140 kg per cubic metre, it is suited to industrial and commercial pipework carrying steam and other high-temperature fluids at continuous temperatures up to 650 degrees C.

Applications
Designed for steam lines, high-pressure hot water pipes, and industrial process pipework in commercial plant rooms and industrial facilities. The pre-formed lagging sections allow rapid site installation on a wide range of pipe diameters. The foil facing provides a vapour and weather-resistant outer surface. It is not suited to cryogenic or sub-ambient applications.

Why choose rockwool pipe insulation over fibreglass or foam products?
Thermotec Rockwool Pipe Insulation is rated to 650 degrees C continuous, significantly higher than fibreglass (rated to 350 degrees C) or elastomeric foam products, making it the appropriate choice for steam and very high-temperature industrial pipework.
Is this product available in pre-formed pipe sections?
Yes. The product is supplied as pre-formed pipe lagging sections, allowing it to be fitted directly to the pipe and secured with banding or facing tape without requiring on-site cutting or shaping.
