Flatlands
Flatlands is a modular carpet tile collection from Carpets Inter, available with EcoSoft recycled cushion backing or EcoSquare reinforced recycled hard backing. Its low-profile hi-low loop texture creates a seamless, monotone appearance suited to high-traffic commercial floors and coordinates with the Mesa, Over the Ocean, and Across the Sea collections.

Applications
Flatlands suits open-plan offices, education facilities, hospitality venues, retail spaces, and other heavy commercial interiors requiring a clean, uniform floor finish. It can be used as a standalone field tile or combined with patterned tiles in the Carpets Inter landscape range to zone or articulate large floor areas.

Tested to ASTM E648 Class 1 (radiant panel), ASTM E662 smoke density below 450, ASTM D2859 pill test pass, BS EN 13501 fire classification, and BS EN 1307 Class 33 Heavy Commercial end-use. Indoor air quality verified under CRI Green Label Plus. Certified by SGBC and TUV SUD PSB (Licence No. 00148G).

What is the difference between EcoSoft and EcoSquare backing?
EcoSoft uses a recycled PET cushion backing at 2,680 g/m2 total weight, offering underfoot comfort. EcoSquare uses a reinforced recycled hard backing at 3,725 g/m2, providing greater dimensional stability.
What tile sizes does Flatlands come in?
Flatlands is available in 50 x 50 cm square tiles and 25 x 100 cm plank tiles, supporting a variety of installation patterns including checkerboard and herringbone.
What is the sound absorption rating?
With EcoSoft backing, Flatlands achieves NRC 0.30 or higher. With EcoSquare backing, the rating is NRC 0.15 or higher, both measured to BS EN ISO 354.
