Mesa Alto is a commercial modular carpet tile from Carpets Inter, available with EcoSoft or EcoSquare recycled backing. Constructed with a multi-level texture tufted pile in 100% solution dyed nylon, it delivers colour-fast, resilient flooring for heavy commercial environments in a 50x50 cm format.

Sound absorption: BS EN ISO 354, NRC 0.3 or higher (EcoSoft), NRC 0.15 or higher (EcoSquare). Indoor air quality: CRI Green Label Plus certified. Electrostatic propensity: AATCC 134 less than 3.0 kV. What is the difference between the EcoSoft and EcoSquare backing options?
EcoSoft uses a recycled PET cushion back for added underfoot comfort and higher sound absorption (NRC 0.3 or higher). EcoSquare uses a reinforced recycled hard back with a higher total weight of 3,810 g/m2, compared to 2,695 g/m2 for EcoSoft, and achieves an NRC of 0.15 or higher.
Is Mesa Alto suitable for areas with castor chairs?
Yes. Mesa Alto is rated to BS EN 985 with a castor chair index of 2.4 or higher, placing it within the heavy commercial end use classification under BS EN 1307 Class 33.
Does the yarn content resist fading?
The 100% solution dyed nylon yarn is tested for colourfastness to light at ISO 105 B02, achieving a minimum grade 6 rating, which indicates high resistance to UV-induced fading.
