Benefits of Pink SoundBreak Insulation
Installing Pink Acoustic Soundbreak Insulation batts in external (outside) walls and ceiling spaces limits the transfer of external nuisance noise into a home. The great the R-rating, the more effective the insulation will be at keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler during summer. With a nominal density range of 24 – 26kg/m3, Pink Soundbreak Acoustic Insulation also provides remarkable thermal performance; this improves the energy efficiency of a home which in turn provides energy cost savings.
Install Pink Soundbreak During Building Phase
The best time to upgrade your insulation is during the construction stage of a new build as it is often too late to install insulation once the wall lining is fixed into place. Consider installing Soundbreak acoustic batts in the walls and ceiling of your theatre room, between bedrooms and around bathrooms, toilets and laundries. We recommend installing the highest R-value you can afford, but as a minimum we recommendR2.0 Acoustic Soundbreak Insulation between rooms and R2.7 Acoustic Soundbreak Insulation for theatre rooms. Installing acoustic batts below first floor children’s bedrooms or playrooms will also help to create more restful living spaces.
More Comfortable to Handle Glasswool Batts
Soundbreak R3.1 batts are pre-stiffened to ensure they sit snugly between standard spaced wall studs – both timber and steel – making them quick and easy to install and ensuring they stay in place for ongoing thermal and acoustic performance. Pink Soundbreak insulation features a next generation formula that provides a softer feel for more comfortable handling – they are much more pleasant to work with than the older style fibreglass insulation which many installers will recall from earlier decades. Pink Soundbreak R3.1 Insulation is non-combustible, low allergen and is made from an estimated 80% recycled waste glass. We supply the following acoustic/soundbreak insulation in both 430mm and 580mm widths:
