RedNet D64R
Description
MADI is widely used in large-scale digital audio systems, such as audio consoles and conversion systems, as it allows multiple channels to be transmitted through a single interface. The RedNet D64R provides the link between a Dante-based Ethernet audio system and any MADI/AES10 configuration. The D64R supports up to 64 channels of coaxial and optical MADI interfaces and is fully bidirectional, enabling the use of any Dante component, including RedNet's high-quality interface products, with a MADI system, or MADI components with a Dante system.
The D64R incorporates a sample rate converter (SRC) on each input and output, allowing interconnection between MADI and Dante regardless of the sample rate at which either system operates. It connects a Dante network to MADI-based digital consoles, computer cards, converters, and more. In addition to coaxial and optical MADI interfaces, the RedNet D64R provides Word Clock input and output.
Dual Ethernet ports are provided, featuring locking etherCON connectors and multiple operating modes, including daisy-chaining and redundancy, confirmed by indicators on the front panel. Two independent power supplies with fault detection capability are included, with separate power input sockets (featuring retaining clips) on the back of the unit. Power status is indicated both remotely and on the front panel. The D64R features a rugged, road-ready exterior and high-quality internal construction. Additionally, it offers a compact 1U rack-mount form factor for a total of 64 channels of I/O.
Key Features:
-
Seamless MADI to Dante Connectivity - Effortlessly connects a MADI system to a Dante network, bridging digital mixing consoles, interfaces, and cards that use MADI with RedNet’s versatile, high-quality audio interfaces and other Dante-compatible devices.
-
Built-in Redundancy - Features dual locking power supplies and etherCON network connectors to ensure maximum reliability and uninterrupted operation.
-
Flexible Interface Support - Supports both coaxial and optical MADI interfaces, making it easy to integrate with any MADI equipment.
-
External Clock Synchronization - Synchronize the Dante system or MADI streams to an external clock for precise audio timing.
-
High-Channel Digital Audio I/O - Supports up to 64 channels of digital audio I/O at standard sampling rates (44.1/48 kHz), 32 channels at 96 kHz, and 16 channels at 192 kHz.
-
Independent Sample Rate Conversion - Includes sample rate conversion (SRC) on each input and output, allowing MADI and Dante systems to operate simultaneously at different sample rates.
-
Compact and Robust Design - Simple 1U rack-mount module with a durable, signature red aluminum front panel.
-
Remote Routing and Control - RedNet Control and Dante software provide complete remote routing and system control via a software control panel, eliminating the need for manual hardware patching.
