Description
RedNet X2P is a compact and robust 2x2 Dante™ audio interface featuring two Red Evolution microphone preamps, a stereo line output, and a stereo headphone amplifier. RedNet X2P quickly adds I/O to your Focusrite Red interface or any Dante™ audio-over-IP system, with power, audio, and remote control supplied via a single Ethernet cable—just use a Power over Ethernet switch or a PoE injector. A local input mixer allows for "more me" monitoring control, while a control lock ensures that settings remain unchanged when used remotely.
The two digitally controlled Red Evolution microphone preamps provide high levels of ultra-clean gain along with stereo linking, individual phantom power, a high-pass filter, and phase inversion. Additionally, they feature Air mode, which emulates the sound of Focusrite’s classic transformer-based microphone preamps. RedNet X2P delivers high-performance audio conversion with over 118 dB of dynamic range. These converters have been carefully selected and calibrated to offer the best balance of sound quality, dynamic range, and conversion latency.
Sometimes, having direct foldback within the interface is helpful, so RedNet X2P includes a crossfader that allows you to control the level of local inputs versus network inputs feeding the line outputs or headphone outputs. The unit can be mounted directly onto a microphone stand, keeping it out of the way and within easy reach.
Flexible control locks allow you to lock local control of microphone preamp settings, output settings, or both. Leave RedNet X2P with your artists and let them adjust the mix and headphone level, knowing that they cannot accidentally change the microphone preamp gain.
