Bobbin – Diabolo, Type C
Bobbin Diabolo Type C is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho with female threaded sockets on both ends. The through-hole configuration suits installations where bolts pass through the mounting structure into the mount from both sides. The diabolo-shaped natural rubber body bonded between two steel end plates provides high transverse elasticity and accommodates relative movement from thermal expansion and structural deformation.

Applications
Suitable for elastic suspension and vibration isolation of small to medium machinery including motor-pumps, motor-ventilators, dryers, sieves, compactors, washing machines, electrical motors, on-board control panels, measuring instruments, control cabinets, microphones, and fluorescent tube fixtures. The female-female configuration is well suited to bracket or frame-mounted arrangements where through-bolts are used on both faces.
Frequently asked questions
When should I use Type C instead of Type A or Type B?
Choose Type C when both mounting faces use bolts that thread into the mount from outside. Type A (male-male) suits stud-based installations; Type B (male-female mixed) suits one-stud, one-hole arrangements.
What is the full size range available?
Eleven sizes are available from F.00N (20 x 19 mm body, M-6 thread, 0.01 kg) through to F.6 (95 x 76 mm body, M-16 thread, 0.834 kg), covering compression loads from 12 daN to 400 daN.
How much relative movement can these mounts tolerate?
The rubber element accommodates shear deflections of 4 mm to 10 mm depending on model size, allowing for thermal expansion and minor structural deformation without overloading the mount.
