Bushings
Bushings are rubber-metal vibration isolators from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed to isolate vibration and limit noise transmission in vehicle cabins, motors, and other rotating or reciprocating machinery. The bonded rubber-metal construction resists corrosion and handles combined axial, radial, and torsional loads simultaneously.
Specifications
- Inner diameter range: 10 mm to 50 mm
- Outer diameter range: 22 mm to 80 mm
- Maximum axial load capacity: 25 kg to 800 kg per bushing
- Maximum radial load capacity: 120 kg to 5,600 kg per bushing
- Maximum torsion moment: 7 Nm to 450 Nm
- Maximum torsion angle: 6.4 degrees to 25 degrees
- Maximum conical angle: 1 degree to 4 degrees
- Construction: Steel metal parts bonded to natural or synthetic rubber
- Available models: 21 standard model codes
Applications
Bushings suit suspension and mounting points in vehicle cabins, electric motors, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and marine auxiliary equipment. They absorb shock and vibration at pivot joints, reducing structure-borne noise transmitted to the operator environment.
Frequently asked questions
What loads can these bushings handle?
The range spans axial loads from 25 kg to 800 kg and radial loads from 120 kg to 5,600 kg depending on the model selected, allowing selection for light vehicle cabin mounts through to heavy construction equipment applications.
Can bushings handle torsional movement as well as linear loads?
Yes. The rubber-metal bonded construction accommodates torsion moments up to 450 Nm and torsion angles up to 25 degrees, making them suitable for pivoting and articulating joints.
What protects the metal parts from corrosion?
The steel components are embedded in and bonded to rubber, which acts as a barrier against moisture and corrosion in demanding outdoor or marine environments.
