Cabin Mount
Cabin Mount is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho, composed of two steel parts bonded to highly resilient rubber, designed to isolate vibration and attenuate noise between a vehicle cabin and its supporting chassis. The annular geometry absorbs dynamic loads and restricts cabin movement during transient shocks.
Specifications
- Construction: Two steel metal parts bonded to resilient natural rubber
- Load capacity range: 165 lb (75 kg) to 992 lb (450 kg) per mount, depending on model and hardness
- Rubber hardness options: 45 Shore A to 70 Shore A
- Available series: Cabin Mount 75, 85, 105, and 135
- Maximum tightening torque: 170 Nm to 350 Nm
- Corrosion protection: Metal parts treated for use in arduous outdoor environments
- Compliance: RoHS compliant
Applications
Cabin Mount is used to isolate operator cabins from chassis vibration and impact shock in agricultural tractors, construction equipment machinery, and off-road vehicles. Multiple rubber hardness grades allow selection to match the static cabin weight and required dynamic stiffness. The manufacturer's technical department can advise on ROPS compliance for construction equipment.
Standards and compliance
RoHS compliant. Corrosion protection to meet requirements of arduous outdoor operating environments.
Frequently asked questions
How is the correct rubber hardness grade selected?
Different hardness grades from 45 to 70 Shore A are available to match the static load of the cabin being mounted. A harder compound carries a heavier cabin while a softer compound provides lower natural frequency isolation for lighter cabins.
What machinery types is this mount suitable for?
The mount is designed for agricultural tractors, construction equipment, and off-road vehicles where cabin isolation from chassis-borne vibration and shock is required.
Is welding or machining of the mounting frame required?
Installation uses bolt holes in the existing frame. Washers are recommended where the mounting surface does not fully cover the bolt hole area. No special machining of the frame is required.
