Cone – Solid
Cone Solid is a rubber-metal anti-vibration cone mount from AMC Mecanocaucho. Composed of two parallel conical metal parts with the rubber working in shear and compression, the mount provides stable isolation of noise and vibration from engines and machinery. It is supplied with a buffer washer and a centering washer as standard.

Applications
Engines and auxiliary machinery in static installations and in all types of vehicles, including cab mounting. The stable conical geometry prevents suspended equipment from tilting while the natural rubber element absorbs vibration and reduces structure-borne noise transmission.

How does the solid cone prevent suspended equipment from tilting?
The two parallel conical metal parts create a geometry that is inherently stable under lateral and off-centre loads, so the mount resists tilting of the suspended element while remaining flexible enough to isolate vibration.
How does the centering washer protect the rubber?
The centering washer acts as a physical stop that limits deflection above the rated maximum and shields the natural rubber from direct metal contact, ozone, ageing, and dripping oil.
What happens if the mount is overloaded?
The deflection curve increases progressively with load and the design can safely absorb overloads of up to three times the maximum admissible load without permanent damage.
