The Elastomeric Spring is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho designed for applications requiring high vibration isolation with large deflection. The spring's geometry provides high deflection under load, which lowers the system's natural frequency and improves low-frequency isolation. A conventional flat pad offers limited deflection and is less effective for applications with predominantly vertical vibration.
Can the elastomeric spring be used outdoors or in harsh environments?
The rubber compound has optimal corrosion resistance and is suitable for aggressive corrosion environments, making outdoor and industrial installations practical.
How is the mount selected for a given application?
Selection is based on the static load per mount and the desired natural frequency. The RSFF 125 142 handles up to 1150 kg per unit; the RSF 55 55 handles up to 60 kg with a 120 kg shock allowance.
