FZH + SYLOMER® FLOATING FLOOR MOUNTS
FZH Sylomer Floating Floor Mounts are concrete-embedded vibration isolators from AMC Mecanocaucho that use a Sylomer polyurethane elastomer to decouple floating concrete floor slabs from the underlying structure, controlling structure-borne noise transmission to noise-sensitive spaces below.
Specifications
- Elastomer: Sylomer polyurethane (available in multiple densities to tune natural frequency)
- Natural frequency range: 8.1 Hz to 11.8 Hz (model and density dependent)
- Mount density: 1.12 mounts per m2
- Mount spacing: 0.9 m centre-to-centre
- Load capacity range: up to 140 kg per mount (FZH-33 series) to up to 960 kg per mount (FZH-57 series)
- Installation method: Jack-up, embedded in concrete floating floor slab
- Levelling: Simple screw-levelling mechanism; completed once concrete is cured
- Installation height: Low-profile design minimising floor void depth
Applications
Floating concrete floor slabs in acoustically sensitive buildings including music schools, recording studios, libraries, multi-purpose halls, and residential high-rise construction. Suitable for retrofit in historic buildings and new construction where low installation height is critical. Ideal where structure-borne noise from mechanical plant, impact, or foot traffic must be isolated from the floor below.
Frequently asked questions
How is the natural frequency adjusted for a specific project?
AMC Mecanocaucho produces the FZH in different Sylomer densities. The appropriate density is selected to match the required natural frequency for the project load and isolation specification.
When is levelling carried out?
Levelling is performed after the concrete slab has fully cured. The simple screw mechanism requires no specialist tools.
Can FZH mounts be retrofitted?
Yes. The jack-up installation method and low-profile design suit both new construction and existing buildings where structural height is limited.
