FZM Wire Mesh Mount
FZM Wire Mesh Mount is a high-temperature anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho that uses stainless steel wire mesh and a cast aluminium bell to isolate vibration and shock in environments where conventional elastomeric mounts cannot operate, including applications reaching up to 300 degrees C.

Applications
Mounting of engines, pumps, generator sets, pipework, and exhaust systems in ships, rail vehicles, and road transport. Suitable for mobile or stationary installations where high operating temperatures or corrosive environments preclude rubber or polyurethane isolators, especially where vibration is predominantly vertical.
Frequently asked questions
Why use wire mesh instead of rubber or polyurethane?
Rubber and polyurethane degrade at elevated temperatures. The stainless steel wire mesh maintains its properties at up to 300 degrees C, making it suitable for exhaust systems, engines, and high-heat plant.
What does near-equal traction and compression stiffness mean?
The mount controls vibration equally whether the equipment pushes down or pulls up, which is particularly useful for vertical vibration sources such as engines and pumps.
Is the FZM suitable for marine use?
Yes. The stainless steel wire and aluminium top cap resist corrosion, and the fail-safe device limits upward displacement under sea-going shock loads.
