Is this panel a sound absorber or a sound insulator?
The Marine panel provides sound insulation (Rw 33 dB) rather than absorption. Its fibre core has limited absorptive performance, but the dense construction gives effective sound reduction between spaces.
What does the M-1 F-1 classification mean?
M-1 is the highest flame retardancy rating under French fire classification, indicating very low flame spread. F-1 indicates very good smoke behaviour, meaning low smoke emission in the event of fire.
