Sylodyn® NF
Sylodyn NF is a closed-cell polyurethane elastomer from Getzner Vibration Solutions, designed for vibration isolation where the highest static and dynamic load capacity is required. Its non-water-absorbing closed-cell structure and pronounced spring characteristics make it well suited to railway bearings, heavy industrial equipment, and structural decoupling in floors and ceilings.

Applications
Sylodyn NF is applied in vibration isolation for local and inter-city railway lines, impact noise insulation in floors and stairs, structural bearings in buildings and bridges, heavy machine mounting, and acoustic decoupling between building elements. Its higher static and dynamic load ranges compared to other Sylodyn types make it the preferred selection for the most demanding load conditions.
Frequently asked questions
What distinguishes Sylodyn NF from Sylodyn NE?
Sylodyn NF carries a higher static load range (up to 1.50 N/mm2 versus 0.75 N/mm2 for NE), a higher dynamic load range (up to 2.00 N/mm2 versus 1.20 N/mm2), and higher load peaks (up to 6.8 N/mm2 versus 6.0 N/mm2). Both share the same stiffening factor range of 1.15 to 1.40 and closed-cell structure.
Is Sylodyn NF affected by water or moisture?
No. Sylodyn NF has a closed-cell pore structure, which means it does not absorb water. This makes it suitable for embedded or exposed applications where moisture contact is possible.
Can Sylodyn NF be cut to size?
Yes. It is supplied in 12.5 mm and 25 mm thickness rolls of 1,500 mm x 5,000 mm, and can be cut to the required dimensions. Custom punched or moulded parts are also available on request from Getzner.
