TF
The TF is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed to isolate vibration and control movement in vehicle cabins and mobile machinery. Two symmetric moulded parts work in both compression and traction with comparable stiffness, providing stable isolation and attenuation of impacts and high-frequency vibrations.
Specifications
- Construction: Two symmetric moulded rubber parts; centre tube bonded to one part acts as guide for the anchoring bolt
- Pre-compression: Installed pre-compressed; machine frame thickness determines the degree of pre-compression
- Load capacity: Up to 4,000 kg depending on model size (TF 55: 80-175 kg; TF 100: 190-800 kg; TF 150: 2,000-4,000 kg)
- Shore hardness range: 40-70 Shore A depending on model and variant
- Bolt sizes: M16 to M24 metric, or 5/8 inch to 1 inch imperial depending on model
- Fail-safe capability: Metal washers enable fail-safe installations
Applications
Designed for vehicle cabins, engines, gearboxes and operator cabins on public works machinery, agricultural vehicles, and off-road construction equipment. The symmetric stiffness in compression and traction makes the TF suitable for applications where the mount is subjected to forces in both directions.
Frequently asked questions
How does frame thickness affect installation?
The machine frame thickness determines the degree of pre-compression applied to the TF mount at installation. The mount is installed pre-compressed on the frame, so frame thickness must be within the specified minimum for each model size.
Can the TF mount be used with fail-safe protection?
Yes. When installed with metal washers, TF mounts allow fail-safe installations to prevent separation of connected components in the event of mount failure or extreme loading.
What load capacity range is available?
The TF range covers loads from 80 kg to 4,000 kg across different model sizes, in Shore hardness variants from 40 to 70 Shore A to suit different stiffness requirements.
