TLG + SYLOMER®
The TLG + Sylomer is a suspension and ceiling anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed to isolate structure-borne noise in building applications. Aluminium components and Sylomer polyurethane resilient material combine with an interlocking fail-safe mechanism, making the TLG + Sylomer suitable for outdoor and indoor structural isolation.
Specifications
- Resilient material: Sylomer polyurethane; oil resistant; available in multiple densities to suit different load requirements
- Housing material: Aluminium; anti-corrosive properties suitable for outdoor use
- Fail-safe mechanism: Interlocking metal component limits ascending vertical movement under shock or traction loading
- Fastening: Installed with standard DIN 6316 clamping elements
- Load capacity (TLG + Sylomer 110): Up to 40 kg
- Load capacity (TLG + Sylomer 220): Up to 75 kg
- Load capacity (TLG + Sylomer 450): Up to 120 kg
- Load capacity (TLG + Sylomer 850): Up to 190 kg
Applications
Primarily used for isolating structure-borne noise on frames and door frame mechanisms in car parks, and for general building structure-borne noise isolation. The Sylomer resilient element provides low natural frequencies, reducing noise transmitted through rigid building structures. The aluminium construction allows use in exposed outdoor environments.
Frequently asked questions
What does the fail-safe mechanism do?
The interlocking metal component limits the ascending vertical movement of the mount when subjected to shocks in traction. This prevents the connected components from separating under unexpected impact or tensile loading conditions.
Why is Sylomer used instead of rubber in this mount?
Sylomer polyurethane is oil resistant and provides low natural frequencies, which reduces the transmission of structure-borne noise through rigid connections. Multiple density grades are available to match the mount to the actual load at each mounting point.
Is the TLG + Sylomer suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The aluminium housing provides anti-corrosive properties that make the mount suitable for outdoor applications such as car park door frame isolation.
