V-Shaped Generator Mount is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed for lightweight engines and machinery requiring high vibration isolation. Its symmetrically inclined V-geometry allows lower system frequencies than cylindrical or bobbin mounts, giving improved isolation efficiency for the same supported load.

Why use a V-shaped mount instead of a cylindrical bobbin mount?
The V-geometry works the rubber in a combination of shear and compression, achieving greater deflection for a given load. This produces lower system frequencies and consequently better vibration isolation than cylindrical mounts of similar size.
How is the mount installed?
The top stud (M8) connects to the engine or machine, and the base plate fixes to the chassis via two holes. Anti-turn tabs prevent rotation during high-torque installation with pneumatic tools.

Above 90% vibration attenuation is achieved for single-cylinder diesel or petrol engines running at 3,000 rpm, based on manufacturer testing data.
