Frequently asked questions
Why does the KS5P I require two amplifier channels?
Each of its two 4-ohm woofers is driven independently, requiring one dedicated amplifier channel per driver to deliver the full 2 x 2,800 W peak power rating and achieve the specified 145 dB SPL.
Can K-Discovery and K-framework3 be used to control this unit?
Yes. The K-Discovery mobile app provides remote DSP parameter control via a mobile interface, while K-framework3 software enables wired LAN management of large numbers of units simultaneously.
Does it need a dedicated DSP preset?
Yes. As a passive loudspeaker it requires a dedicated preset loaded on a K-Array amplifier to operate within its specified frequency range and crossover settings.
