How does the KTR26 differ from the KTR25?
The KTR26 uses 6.5-inch drivers versus the KTR25's 5.25-inch drivers, producing 5 dB more peak SPL (120 dB versus 115 dB) and handling 100 W versus 80 W. It is also physically larger at 182 x 176 x 341 mm and has a nominal impedance of 2 ohm rather than 4 ohm.
Does the Truffle-KTR26 need a K-Array amplifier?
Yes. As a passive loudspeaker, it requires a dedicated preset loaded on a K-Array amplifier to achieve its rated frequency response and SPL.
Is the low 2-ohm impedance a concern for amplifier matching?
The 2-ohm nominal impedance requires an amplifier rated for that load. K-Array amplifiers with dedicated presets for the KTR26 are designed to drive this impedance correctly.
