SONEX Classic and SONEX Junior Panels are direct-apply acoustic wall and ceiling panels from Pinta Acoustics. Made from open-cell WILLTEC melamine foam with a unique geometric surface pattern, they provide broad-frequency sound absorption for studios, restaurants, production areas, and machine enclosures, with an NRC of 0.75 to 0.80.

Applications
Suitable for recording and broadcast studios, listening rooms, restaurants, clubs and bars, production areas, indoor firing ranges, and machine enclosures. Panels adhere directly to most substrates and can be cut on-site to fit.
Standards and compliance
Flame spread and smoke density: passes Class A per ASTM E84 and CAN ULCS-102. Microbial growth: passes UL 181 section 11. Fungus resistance: Rating 0 per ASTM G21. Naturally resistant to mould, fungus and bacteria growth.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between SONEX Classic and SONEX Junior?
SONEX Classic measures 610 x 1219 mm and SONEX Junior measures 610 x 610 mm. Both are 51 mm thick with the same geometric pattern and identical NRC ratings, so Junior simply suits smaller or more modular layouts.
What NRC can I expect?
In natural finish at Mounting Type A, panels achieve NRC 0.80. With a water-based acoustic coating at Mounting Type B, NRC rises to 0.95. Both are measured per ASTM C423-90a.
Are bevel edges available?
Yes. In addition to the standard square edge, optional bevel angles of 15, 22.5, 30, and 45 degrees are available for design flexibility.
