SONEX Curtain Enclosure Systems
SONEX Curtain Enclosure Systems are custom-engineered industrial noise enclosures from Pinta Acoustics, built from combinations of SONEX Curtain panels to create total or partial acoustic barriers around machinery and work cells. Systems can achieve noise reductions of up to 25 dBA depending on application and are designed for quick access to enclosed equipment.

- Panel composition: Any combination of SONEX Curtain BS and BB panels
- Standard facing: Vinyl-coated fabric in grey, white, tan or black
- Noise reduction: Up to 25 dBA depending on application
- Fire rating: Class A per ASTM E84
- Support framework: Ceiling-mounted, suspension/beam-mounted, floor-mounted, or wall-mounted track systems; portable acoustic screen systems available
- Track options: Standard straight track in 1.83 m, 2 m and 3.05 m lengths; 90-degree curves with 610 mm radius; heavy-duty 63 mm square steel tube columns and beams
- Hardware: Overlapping trolleys, support connectors, end stops, corner connectors, T-connectors, and 4-way connectors
- Documentation: CAD drawings provided with all enclosures
Applications
Total or partial enclosures around compressors, presses, granulators, lathes, and other industrial machinery. Portable acoustic screens for separating workstations. Ventilated enclosures with airflow baffles where cooling is required. Custom configurations for manufacturing, food processing, and heavy industrial facilities.
Standards and compliance
Class A fire-rated per ASTM E84. Component panels (SONEX Curtain BB and BS) are individually fire-tested to the same standard. Component materials are washable and steam-cleanable.

Can the enclosure be opened for machine access?
Yes. The system is designed for quick and easy access, with options including sewn-on windows, hatches in drop-down or lift-up styles, hook-and-loop fasteners, and sliding track systems that allow access at any point around the enclosure.
What noise reduction can be expected?
Pinta Acoustics states the system can achieve up to 25 dBA of noise reduction, with actual performance depending on the specific application and enclosure configuration.
Are ventilation options available?
Yes. Ventilation baffles allow airflow through the enclosure without compromising acoustical performance, and roof panels and valance options are available.

Freight lead times will be provided upon order confirmation. Standard items typically ship within 4–6 weeks, while custom orders may take 6–12 weeks.
