SONEX Pyramid Panels
SONEX Pyramid Panels are foam acoustic wall and ceiling panels from Pinta Acoustics, featuring a bold geometric pyramid surface that significantly increases usable absorption area compared to flat panels. Made from willtec open-cell melamine foam, they are Class 1 fire-rated and install directly to walls or ceilings using water-based acouSTIC adhesive.

Applications
SONEX Pyramid Panels are used where high absorption across a broad frequency range is required with a textured visual finish. Suitable for recording studios, home theatres, broadcast rooms, conference facilities, education spaces and commercial interiors where both acoustic control and design intent matter.

Frequently asked questions
Why do pyramid panels absorb more sound than flat panels?
The pyramid profile increases the total surface area of the foam exposed to incident sound waves, which raises the effective absorption coefficient, particularly at mid and high frequencies.
What thicknesses are available and does it affect performance?
Panels are available in 51 mm, 76 mm and 102 mm thicknesses. Greater thickness improves low-frequency absorption, making the 76 mm and 102 mm options preferable where bass control is a priority.
Can SONEX Pyramid Panels be painted or coated?
Yes. Panels are available factory-finished in water-based acoustic coated colours, including colortec options. Water-based coatings preserve acoustic performance.
