

Sylodamp® SP 100
Sylodamp SP 100 is a high-damping elastic polyurethane material from Getzner, designed to absorb impact loads in medium-load construction and industrial applications. Its mixed-cell pore structure delivers a mechanical loss factor of 0.5 and impact resilience of 15%, with a static load range ten times higher than the SP 10 grade, covering a broader range of bearing area configurations.

Applications
Used under machinery bases, structural bearing pads, and equipment foundations where medium static loads and significant impact loads must be absorbed. SP 100 suits applications with a higher bearing area pressure than SP 10 can handle, and its higher energy absorption capacity (up to 12 mJ/mm2) makes it effective for heavier impact events such as press machinery, drop zones, and industrial floors.
Frequently asked questions
How does SP 100 differ from SP 10?
SP 100 carries static loads up to 0.05 N/mm2, ten times the capacity of SP 10 (0.005 N/mm2). Its energy absorption reaches 12 mJ/mm2 versus 1.8 mJ/mm2 for SP 10. SP 100 is light green; SP 10 is lemon yellow. The loss factor for SP 100 is 0.5, slightly lower than SP 10's 0.61.
Can SP 100 pads be cut on site?
Yes. SP 100 is supplied in rolls and strips up to 1.5 m wide and 5.0 m long, allowing field cutting to the required bearing pad dimensions. Punched and moulded parts in custom sizes are available from Getzner on request.
What calculation tools are available for system design?
Getzner provides the FreqCalc online programme for determining natural frequencies, modulus of elasticity, and other system properties for Sylodamp bearings. Access requires registration at getzner.com.
