Sylodyn® HRB HS 12000
Sylodyn HRB HS 12000 is a closed-cell polyurethane elastomer bearing from Getzner Vibration Solutions for very high compressive loads in confined spaces. Used for building base isolation near rail corridors, heavy industrial machinery mounts, and floating floors where extreme load capacity governs the design.
Specifications
- Material: closed-cell PU elastomer (polyurethane)
- Colour: dark brown
- Static range of use: up to 12.0 N/mm2 (approx. 8% deformation at shape factor 3)
- Dynamic range of use (static plus dynamic loads): up to 16.0 N/mm2 (approx. 10%)
- Load peaks (occasional, brief): up to 24.0 N/mm2 (approx. 15%)
- Mechanical loss factor: 0.08 (per DIN 53513; spring-dominant, low damping)
- Shear modulus (static / dynamic at 10 Hz): 4.0 N/mm2 / 5.3 N/mm2 (per DIN ISO 1827, shape factor 3)
- Compression set: less than 5% (per EN ISO 1856)

Applications
Building base isolation near rail corridors, heavy crane and industrial machinery mounts, and floating floors under extreme loads.
Frequently asked questions
How does Sylodyn HRB HS 12000 differ from standard Sylodyn grades?
HRB HS 12000 handles static loads to 12.0 N/mm2 and peaks to 24.0 N/mm2, far exceeding the 1.5 N/mm2 limit of standard types. Its loss factor of 0.08 reflects a spring function rather than a damping one.
What does negligible amplitude dependence mean?
Dynamic stiffness changes very little across vibration amplitudes, giving consistent isolation performance regardless of excitation level.
