Sylomer® SR 850
Sylomer SR 850 is a mixed-cell polyurethane vibration isolation material from Getzner Werkstoffe, coloured turquoise. It handles the highest static loads in the standard Sylomer range, up to 0.85 N/mm2, and is selected for heavy industrial plant, large compressors, and heavily loaded structural isolation where other grades would over-compress or under-isolate.

- Standard stock dimensions: 12.5 mm and 25 mm thickness; rolls 1.5 m wide by 5.0 m long
Applications
Sylomer SR 850 is used under heavy rotating or reciprocating machinery, large HVAC plant, industrial compressors, and in heavily loaded floating floor or rail isolation systems where static pressures approach 0.85 N/mm2. Its high shear moduli and high load capacity suit applications that exceed the range of lighter Sylomer grades. Available as rolls, stripes, and custom moulded or stamped parts.
Standards and compliance
Flammability rated Class E to EN ISO 11925-2 and EN 13501-1. Material properties tested to DIN 53513, EN ISO 8307, EN ISO 3386-1, EN ISO 1856, DIN ISO 1827, EN ISO 527-3/5/100, DIN IEC 60093, and DIN EN 12664.
Frequently asked questions
What is the static load rating of Sylomer SR 850?
The static load range is up to 0.85 N/mm2 with approximately 10% deflection. The operating load range, including dynamic loads, extends to 1.3 N/mm2, and short-term peaks are tolerated up to 6 N/mm2.
How does SR 850 differ from SR 450?
SR 850 carries nearly double the static load per unit area of SR 450 (0.85 versus 0.45 N/mm2) and has higher shear moduli (static 0.8 versus 0.58 N/mm2, dynamic 1.4 versus 1.0 N/mm2). It is the appropriate choice when SR 450 would be overloaded.
What formats is SR 850 available in?
Standard stock comes in 12.5 mm and 25 mm thicknesses as rolls 1.5 m wide by 5.0 m long or stripes up to 1.5 m wide. Custom thicknesses, stamped pads, and moulded parts are available on request.
