Frequently asked questions
Which thickness provides the best speech privacy between rooms?
The 30 mm HD tile achieves the highest CAC rating of 33, offering the greatest resistance to sound transfer through the ceiling plenum. For applications where both high absorption and strong attenuation are priorities, consider Phonic Combo+, which achieves CAC 42.
Is Phonic Absorb suitable for hospital or laboratory environments?
Yes. The tile is rated Cleanroom ISO Class 3 (ISO 14644-1:2015), has an antimicrobial surface tested to ISO 22196:2011, and achieves a moisture rate of 1% or less. These properties suit medical centres, hospitals, laboratories, and other hygiene-sensitive commercial spaces.
Can the tiles be digitally printed?
Yes. Digital printing is available on request for custom patterns or branding requirements. The tile also comes standard in white or black for contemporary ceiling aesthetics.
