3D Acoustic Ceiling Tiles
The Autex 3D Acoustic Ceiling Tiles are moulded polyester fibre ceiling tiles that fit standard 600 x 600 mm suspended grid systems, providing an alternative to flat composite ceiling tiles. Five abstract three-dimensional designs create visual depth and texture while reducing reverberation and controlling noise in building interiors.

Applications
Suited to open-plan offices, commercial interiors, education facilities, and hospitality spaces using standard suspended ceiling grid systems where improved noise control and a distinctive sculptural ceiling aesthetic are both required. Tiles can be scattered throughout a ceiling or installed in full coverage patterns. Acoustic performance can be boosted by adding Autex AAB 35-25 polyester insulation as an infill behind the tiles.
Standards and compliance
Fire rated to Australian Standard AS 5637.1 (AS ISO 9705-2003), achieving Group 1-S classification. Also carries EN 13501-1:2007 Class B-s1,d2 and ASTM E-84-14 Class A ratings. Acoustic absorption tested to ISO 354 by the University of Auckland Testing Service.
Frequently asked questions
Do all five designs have the same NRC rating?
The four shallower designs (S-5.26, S-5.28, S-5.34, S-5.53) share an NRC of 0.75. The deeper S-5.37 design (142 mm) achieves NRC 0.65 on its own, reflecting its different profile geometry.
Can acoustic performance be improved beyond the standard NRC rating?
Yes. Adding Autex AAB 35-25 polyester acoustic insulation as an infill behind the four standard designs raises NRC from 0.75 to 0.90. The S-5.37 deep design does not typically support the AAB infill application.
What ceiling grid size is required?
All designs require a 600 x 600 mm grid with a 24 mm tee. The tile footprint is 595 x 595 mm with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.5 mm.
