Acoustic Timber

Frequently asked questions
Is Acoustic Timber as durable as real timber veneer?
Acoustic Timber uses digitally printed woodgrain imagery on a 100% polyester substrate rather than real veneer. It is lightweight and resistant to the moisture-related movement that affects real timber, though it is a printed finish rather than a natural material.
What NRC can be achieved with wall panels versus ceiling baffles?
NRC ranges from 0.45 to 0.90 depending on the form chosen and its thickness. Ceiling baffles exposed on both faces generally achieve higher absorption than flat-mounted wall panels of the same material.
Can Acoustic Timber ceiling tiles be used in a standard suspended grid?
Yes, the 595 mm x 1195 mm ceiling tile format is designed to fit standard suspended grid systems, consistent with other Autex ceiling tile products.
