Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Open Rafter and Closed Rafter?
Open Rafter has an open edge on the perimeter, giving a lighter, more rustic look. Closed Rafter has a framed edge for a more structured, enclosed appearance. Both share the same modular grid sizes and NRC ratings.
Can coffers be added to an Open Rafter installation?
Yes. Zintra Coffer panels (sold separately, in sets of 8) are compatible with Open Rafter and raise the installation NRC from 1.0 to 1.5. Coffers are not compatible with Rectangular or Parallel Beams designs.
How does the Open Rafter install?
Kits ship flat-packed and are assembled on-site. Beams can be suspended via cable suspension or Unistrut. The specified number of 24 mm beam clips is included in each size-specific kit.
