Bradford SoundScreen Acoustic Insulation Batts are a high-density glasswool acoustic insulation from CSR Bradford, designed for internal walls, mid-floors, and ceilings where superior sound control is required. Non-combustible and Australian-made, SoundScreen reduces airborne noise transfer between rooms and between floors in residential and light commercial buildings.

Applications
Internal walls in residential homes to reduce noise transfer between bedrooms, bathrooms, laundries, home offices, and media rooms. Mid-floor applications in two-storey homes to limit sound travelling between levels. Suited to new construction and renovation where the wall or ceiling cavity is accessible. Best installed at time of construction for maximum acoustic benefit.

Is Bradford SoundScreen also a thermal insulation?
Yes. SoundScreen provides both acoustic and thermal performance. The R-value indicates its thermal resistance, with higher R-values providing both greater heat resistance and better sound absorption.
What stud centres does SoundScreen suit?
The 430 mm and 580 mm wide batts suit 450 mm and 600 mm timber stud or joist centres respectively. The 450 mm and 600 mm wide batts are designed for steel stud frames.
Is SoundScreen safe to handle?
SoundScreen batts are assessed as non-hazardous under NOHSC criteria. The glasswool is FBS-1 bio-soluble glasswool, listed by IARC as Category 3 (not classifiable as to carcinogenicity in humans). Standard handling precautions such as gloves and a dust mask are recommended during installation.
