Sylomer® SR 55
Sylomer SR 55 is a mixed-cell polyurethane vibration isolation material from Getzner Werkstoffe, coloured green. It isolates structure-borne noise and vibration across building, rail, and industrial settings where static loads reach up to 0.055 N/mm2, offering a balance of elasticity and damping suited to medium-light load applications.

Applications
Sylomer SR 55 is suited to applications with slightly higher static pressures than SR 42, including floating floor systems under moderate loads, machinery isolation pads, and rail track support where pressures fall between approximately 0.042 and 0.055 N/mm2. Available as rolls, stripes, and custom stamped or moulded parts.
Standards and compliance
Flammability rated Class E to EN ISO 11925-2 and EN 13501-1. Material properties tested to DIN 53513, EN ISO 8307, EN ISO 3386-1, EN ISO 1856, DIN ISO 1827, EN ISO 527-3/5/100, DIN IEC 60093, and DIN EN 12664.
Frequently asked questions
How does SR 55 differ from SR 42?
SR 55 carries a higher static load range, up to 0.055 N/mm2 versus 0.042 N/mm2 for SR 42. It is coloured green rather than pink, and its static and dynamic shear moduli are slightly higher, reflecting its firmer grade.
What thicknesses and formats are available as standard stock?
Standard stock is available in 12.5 mm (SR 55-12) and 25 mm (SR 55-25) thickness, supplied as rolls 1.5 m wide by 5.0 m long or stripes up to 1.5 m wide. Other dimensions and moulded parts are available on request.
What is the operating temperature range?
Sylomer SR 55 operates between -30 and 70 degrees C. Short-term exposure to higher temperatures is tolerated.
