EP 500 + SYLOMER®
The EP 500 + Sylomer is an acoustic wall tie from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed for the floating suspension of soundproofed walls at higher load capacities than the EP 400. It is available in two Sylomer density grades to match the specific stiffness requirements of each installation, providing vibration isolation within a fail-safe steel frame.

What is the difference between the s35 and s65 grades?
The two grades use Sylomer of different densities. The s35 grade is softer, providing lower stiffness and natural frequency, while the s65 grade is firmer. Grade selection depends on the expected load per mount and the target natural frequency for the wall assembly.
How are the pins installed?
The EP 500 + Sylomer uses two predrilled and easy-to-cut pins. The pins are inserted into the wall substrate and can be trimmed on site to suit the installation depth, simplifying fitting without threaded rods or separate anchors.
Can these ties handle fire-rated wall systems?
Yes. The fail-safe metal structure is suitable for applications where fire or impact resistance is a requirement, consistent with the full EP + Sylomer range.
