SONEX One Panels
SONEX One Panels are direct-apply acoustic wall and ceiling panels from Pinta Acoustics, made from open-cell WILLTEC melamine foam with a deep, omni-directional sculpted surface and 30-degree bevel edges. They reduce noise and reverberation across all sound frequencies in rooms where surface-mounted treatment is preferred.

Standards and compliance
Flame spread and smoke density: Class A per ASTM E 84; passes CAN ULC-S102. Microbial growth: passes UL 181 section 11. Fungus resistance: Rating 0 per ASTM G21.
Frequently asked questions
What NRC range do SONEX One Panels achieve?
NRC ranges from 0.75 for 2 in natural panels on Mounting A up to 1.10 for 3 in coated panels on Mounting A, as tested per ASTM C423-90a. The 3 in thickness consistently delivers higher absorption, particularly in the mid and low-mid frequency range.
Can they be used in humid environments such as pools?
Yes. The WILLTEC foam is naturally resistant to mould, fungus and bacteria and tolerates high heat and humidity, making SONEX One Panels appropriate for indoor aquatic and fitness environments.
How are the panels fixed to the wall or ceiling?
Panels are adhered directly to smooth substrates using pinta acoustic water-based acouSTIC adhesive. A continuous bead is applied around the perimeter approximately 1.5 in (38 mm) from the edges, with intermittent beads across the panel in an X pattern, before pressing firmly into place.
