
6V-SH ANTI-SEISMIC MOUNT
The 6V-SH Anti-Seismic Mount is a large-format spring mount from AMC Mecanocaucho that combines a high-elasticity steel spring with a Sylomer pad and an integrated seismic locking device. It provides vibration isolation from low through to mid and high frequencies while meeting seismic restraint requirements where earthquake resistance is mandated.

- Sylomer pad: integrated under the mount base to attenuate mid and high frequency vibrations transmitted through the spring coils
- Seismic locking device: integrated lock that secures the spring during equipment transport or seismic loading
- Levelling system: incorporated levelling adjustment
- Operating temperature: -30 degrees C to 70 degrees C (short-term excursions above 70 degrees C permissible)
Applications
The 6V-SH Anti-Seismic is used under large rotating and reciprocating plant in seismically active regions or where building codes require seismic restraint for building services equipment. Typical applications include air-handling units, large fans, and pumps. The integrated locking device also protects the mount during equipment transport.

How does the 6V-SH Anti-Seismic differ from the standard 6V-SH?
The anti-seismic version adds an integrated locking device that restrains the spring during seismic loading and equipment transport. The vibration isolation performance, load range, and Sylomer pad are otherwise the same as the standard 6V-SH.
Does the seismic locking device affect normal vibration isolation performance?
No. During normal operation the locking device does not engage, so the mount isolates vibration in the same manner as the standard 6V-SH.
