



Acoustic Floor Blocks (AFB)
Acoustic Floor Blocks (AFB) are point-bearing isolators from Getzner made from homogeneously foamed Sylomer, used to decouple floating floors from the building structure. They provide impact noise insulation for recording studios, cinemas, nightclubs, gyms, car parks, luxury apartments, and hotels where stringent acoustic performance is required.

Frequently asked questions
Which AFB variant should I choose?
Selection depends on the load per square metre that the floor will carry. AFB 30 suits lighter residential loads; AFB 160 suits heavier commercial or industrial floors. Getzner provides the FloorCalc calculation tool to assist with variant selection.
Can AFB be used under wet and dry screed?
Yes. AFB is compatible with both dry and wet screed systems, achieving 31 dB impact sound reduction under dry screed and 38 dB under wet screed.
