AGLO PAI
AGLO PAI is a composite insulation panel manufactured by AMC Mecanocaucho (distributed in Australia by Getzner Vibration Solutions). It combines a bound polyurethane foam core with an aluminium facing on a fibreglass support, delivering M-1 fire resistance alongside thermal insulation and sound isolation in a single panel.
Specifications
- Composition: Bound polyurethane foam with aluminium facing and fibreglass support
- Foam density: 150 kg/m3
- Available thicknesses: 20 mm, 40 mm
- Sheet dimensions: 2000 x 1000 mm
- Sound reduction index (Rw): 26 dB (20 mm); 24 dB (40 mm)
- Fire classification: M-1 (fire resistant)
- Chemical resistance: Good resistance to hydrocarbons
- Variants: Standard and self-adhesive (AUTO)
Applications
Used in industrial plant rooms, HVAC duct linings, engine compartments, and building locations where fire resistance combined with thermal and acoustic isolation is required. The aluminium facing provides a durable, cleanable surface. Not intended as a primary sound absorber.
Standards and compliance
Fire classification M-1 per the French classification system for building materials, indicating fire-resistant performance.
Frequently asked questions
Is AGLO PAI primarily an absorber or an isolator?
It is primarily a sound isolator (Rw 26 dB at 20 mm) with limited sound absorption capability. Applications requiring absorption should use a purpose-designed absorber.
Is a self-adhesive version available?
Yes. Self-adhesive AUTO variants are available, removing the need for a separate adhesive during installation.
