AKUSTIK PIPE
AKUSTIK PIPE is a rubber-metal vibration isolator from AMC Mecanocaucho designed to isolate rigid and flexible pipes from structure-borne noise. A Sylomer element sits inside a steel housing and accepts the pipe, decoupling it from the structure for both static and dynamic loading conditions.

How is the preload set on an AKUSTIK PIPE mount?
The uncovered distance between the two halves of the steel housing determines the preload. The bolt is tightened until the housing faces come into contact with the base, compressing the Sylomer element to the correct working deflection.
Can the Sylomer element be replaced?
Yes. The Sylomer part is removable from the steel housing, which simplifies installation and allows the elastomer element to be replaced if required without disturbing the pipework connection.
Is the mount suitable for dynamic pipe vibration as well as static loads?
Yes. The AKUSTIK PIPE is rated for both static and dynamic applications, making it suitable for hydraulic systems, compressor lines, and other pipework subject to pulsating or oscillating forces.
