ATP
The ATP anti-vibration mount is a rubber-metal isolator from AMC Mecanocaucho designed for medium to high frequency vibration isolation of industrial machinery. Its cup-shaped top metal part shields the rubber from oil, grease, petrol, and diesel, and the natural rubber compound is formulated for good ageing properties across demanding industrial environments.
Specifications
- Operating mode: Rubber in shear
- Radial to axial stiffness ratio: 4:1
- Rubber hardness grades: Soft (45 Shore), Medium (60 Shore), Hard (75 Shore)
- Rubber compound: Standard natural rubber with good ageing properties
- Load range: 50 kg to 800 kg static maximum depending on model and hardness
- Models available: ATP 020, ATP 120, ATP 220, ATP 420
- Bolt sizes: M-8 (ATP 020) to M-16 (ATP 420)
- Progressive stiffness: Prevents metal-to-metal contact under extreme dynamic overloads
Applications
Generator sets, motor pump sets, motor compressor units, hydraulic units, marine auxiliary equipment, and ventilators. Particularly suited to suspension systems where pitching or rolling movement must be controlled to protect external pipe or electrical connections.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the ATP have a cup-shaped top?
The cup-shaped top metal part encloses and protects the rubber from contamination by oil, grease, petrol, and diesel, extending service life in environments where the mount may be exposed to these fluids.
How does the ATP resist lateral shock loads?
The stiffness in the radial plane is four times greater than in the axial plane. This higher lateral stiffness provides effective resistance to transient shock loads without compromising axial isolation.
What does progressive stiffness mean in practice?
As the load increases beyond the rated static value during occasional dynamic overloads, the mount stiffness increases progressively, preventing metal-to-metal contact and protecting both the mount and the isolated equipment.
