Box Baffles Random is a ceiling-mounted acoustic baffle system from Zintra, configured with box heights arranged in a random pattern. Prefabricated from recycled PET polyester, these suspended baffles replace mineral fibre lay systems and suit large commercial and institutional spaces that need strong acoustic control with visual character.

How does the Random variant differ from other Box Baffle options?
The Random variant arranges box heights irregularly across the installation, contrasting with the consistent height of Uniform High or Uniform Low and the planned alternation of Mixed. All four variants share identical panel composition, dimensions, NRC ratings, and fire ratings.
Does adding an air gap improve performance?
Yes. An air gap of 610mm raises the maximum NRC from 0.90 to 0.95 by allowing additional absorption of low-frequency sound behind the baffles.
Are these baffles suitable for DIY installation?
The system ships flat-packed with all suspension hardware included. Two-person assembly is recommended; professional installation is advisable to ensure correct ceiling fixings and row spacing.
