BRT
The BRT is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount made by AMC Mecanocaucho that works rubber in shear and compression to deliver a balanced ratio of stiffness and horizontal stability. It is designed to stabilise electrical cabinets, racks, and mobile rotating machines that are exposed to axial and radial shock loads, oil, diesel, and outdoor weather conditions.
Specifications
- Maximum static load: 50 daN (500 N) per mount
- Maximum dynamic load: 150 daN (1,500 N)
- Shore hardness (BRT 70 variant): 45 Sh
- Weight (BRT 70 variant): 245 g
- Bolt sizes: M6, M8, M10
- Hood material: anticorrosive-treated metal
- Compliance: RoHS
Applications
Suitable for mobile boxes, racks, and rotating machines that require controlled movement under axial and radial shock inputs, including electrical cabinets, pumps, marine and land auxiliary units, industrial vehicles, compressors, and ventilators. The fail-safe interlocking metal component limits vertical travel during shock, making the BRT appropriate where equipment is also exposed to dripping oil, diesel, or outdoor elements.
Standards and compliance
RoHS compliant. Anticorrosive metal treatment rated for outdoor use.
Frequently asked questions
What makes the BRT suitable for shock-prone environments?
An interlocking metal component inside the mount limits vertical movement during shock inputs, providing fail-safe protection. The metal hood also shields the rubber from ozone, UV rays, diesel, and oils.
Can the BRT be used outdoors?
Yes. The metal parts receive an anticorrosive treatment and the rubber is protected by a hood, making the mount suitable for outdoor and weather-exposed installations.
What installation surface does the BRT require?
The mount must be installed between two parallel and perfectly flat surfaces. Misalignment or over-tightening during installation will compromise performance.
