Buffer, Simple – Type E
Buffer, Simple Type E is a flat-faced rubber-metal anti-vibration buffer from AMC Mecanocaucho with a female mounting thread, designed to absorb impact energy and reduce noise when limiting the stroke of moving parts. The flat rubber face responds immediately on contact, preventing over-extension of the moving element without the gradual build-up of a progressive buffer.

Frequently asked questions
How does the simple buffer differ from the progressive buffer?
The simple buffer has a flat rubber face that makes full contact immediately on impact, limiting stroke without over-extension. The progressive buffer uses a conical face that builds resistance gradually as deflection increases. Choose the simple buffer when an immediate, defined end-stop is needed.
What does the Type E designation mean?
Type E indicates the buffer has a female (internal) mounting thread, which accepts a bolt or stud from the mounting surface. Type D is the equivalent with a male (external) threaded stud.
Is a high-damping rubber version available?
Yes. A high-damping rubber compound is available on request and reduces rebound, though it transmits slightly higher stresses to the supporting structure.
