Cone with Cutout
Cone with Cutout is a rubber-metal anti-vibration cone mount from AMC Mecanocaucho. The cutout pattern on the rubber section creates different horizontal and vertical stiffness ratios, making it suited to applications where lower stiffness is required along a specific axis. It isolates vibration and noise in engines and machinery for both static and mobile installations.

Applications

What makes the Cone with Cutout different from a solid cone?
The cutouts in the rubber section alter the stiffness ratio between the horizontal and vertical axes. This allows the mount to be tuned to applications where one axis needs to be softer than the other, which is not possible with a solid cone.
Are centering washers supplied with the mount?
Yes. Each mount is supplied complete with a bump stop washer and a centering washer. These prevent deflection beyond the rated limit even under extreme overload conditions and protect the natural rubber from ozone, ageing, oil, and metal contact.
How are the optimal cutout positions determined?
AMC Mecanocaucho's technical department can provide the elastic constants for each axis and recommend the optimal cutout orientation for a given installation.
