Cones with Fixation flange
Cones with Fixation Flange is a rubber-metal anti-vibration cone mount from AMC Mecanocaucho. A high-strength external metal casing houses a conical elastomer element that works in shear and compression, delivering low natural frequencies and high radial stiffness. An interlocking metal failsafe system is built in. The range holds DNV marine type approval.

What does the interlocking metal failsafe do?
The failsafe system limits vertical shock movement, preventing the suspended machine from being displaced beyond a safe envelope if an extreme load or shock event occurs. This protects both the mount and connected equipment.
Why is radial stiffness higher than axial stiffness?
The conical geometry places the elastomer in a configuration that resists lateral movement more than vertical movement. This provides horizontal stability for the machine while maintaining the vertical compliance needed to isolate vibration.
